Anyone have some good spots for a weekend/daytrip away departing from Adelaide? Aircraft at this stage is a 172

I'm thinking of a trip to Warrnambool and doing the twelve apostles tour, anyone have any other recommendations?

Cheers T5

The southern vic coastline is great from the air, but also have a think about the flinders, particularly north of Hawker. Would be pretty bumpy up there in a 172 this time of year, but VERY speccy.

If you only have a day and dont want to put too many hours on the machine, then I can also highly recommend a circumnavigation of Kangaroo Island. The southern coastline at 500ft is magic.

if you can wait till about APRIL, then a trip from ADL-LEC then to Marree, and maybe around lake eyre, then back to Marree for the night, via the Marree man, is good value.
Country pubs rock!!!!!

also william creek, or further up the birdsville track to Mungarannie is also a good trip.
Coober Pedy not bad if you have to take the handbrake with you. she, and you, can stay in an underground motel and do a scenic day tour :ugh:

have fun

Southern Vic as Chadzat said, then back via Coonawarra...:ok:

Mildura and/or Broken Hill quite an easy trip from Adelaide!

Robe, SA (used to have a grass strip....not sure what is there now).

Nice spot in summer.

Lots of places. Kangaroo Is. Port Augusta (meal at the Augusta Hotel). Anywhere in the Flinders Ranges. Waikerie or anywhere on the Murray. Mildura - stay at the Grand, eat at one of Stefano's restaurants. Breakfast at Hudak's. Asses Ears Wilderness Lodge at the Gampians. Mt Ive station at the base of lake Gairdner. Wirraminna Station near Woomera.
