Is it true the QR CEO want to stop off days given by system ? he only wants to give 2-3 days off max

Is it true he did again some nasty things to his pilots ?

He will never learn not to cut the food chain !

With all trouble he did for Qatar an Qatari people he should be in top priority of termination list in Qatar . And he should be lounched as satelite in orbit and black listed to enter earth again .
But lets give him privilage of sms service to be able to send sms to his promotion flights girls from orbit .
I am sure he would try to make interview with press to say how he is "first CEO in orbit " ha ha .

Why AAB come out with this new idea ?
Every decision as stupid as this one came out of a story.
Do pilots get too many days off in QR ?
Not at all, in fact on some sector like A320 where no pilots transfers to any other fleet was made since 42 months, generated a excess of captains in the fleet.
So by consequence with the new roster system when all flights are given and all standby covers then the roster give off days.
Nothing wrong with jeppessen, but certainly with ratio of pilots on each fleet.
So what to do what to do ....Giving standby instead of off days  smart , but wrong. Just to reminded you 12 hours standby is 12 hours duty and there is duty limitation in part A (somewhere chap 7 ).:ugh:
Let me to think about transferring excess of pilot to a other fleet
Management have to work take risk upgrading F/O transfer F/O and Captain. learning :counting, planning, recruiting, anticipating and do all of that at one time.
Look hard like that but don t worry if you can' t just tell AAB he will removed you.
cheers...:E

There are some A320 captains moving to the left seat of the B777 in March.

Two of my friends who passed the interview with qtr will not come as the new rule of max 3 days will make life too hard for them.
The thing I really do not understand is why...why rather then going forward things are going backward here?
What will be the the outcome? Why you buy an expensive tool and then you do not use it?

just time to move again...

Mathilde i think the only Duty limitation we have is based FDP (flight duty PERIOD)...there is no limitation on Duty time/month or year, the only limitation i known(per month and/or year) is based on FLIGHT time not duty time.(on top of that Standby is free duty..).
(I Might be wrong.. as OM part A is not my best friend:\)

The reason:
Is it because one pilot didn't pick up his/her phone during his/her standby period(cfr one of the last ACN)..that now we all have to be punished and given more standby and less days off...
Standard procedure in QR: ONE pilot F..k up, and we ALL have to pay for it!

look in part A chap 7 p18 http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:www.pprune.org/get/images/smilies/thumbs.gif
duty limitation 55 h in 7 days / 95 h in 14 days / 190 h in 28 days
standby is a duty counting as full 12 h standby is 12 h duty .
except in 2 case duty count as half ex: 12 standby = 6h duty if : night standby between 22h and 8h00 and don't get pull out or if you have 3 h 00 or more to report before any duty start in cleared roster have to call you 3h00 before the reporting time for a flight ( 4h15) before departure time. (you should know what standby you under take first . For info QR don't have the 3 h notice one it will come one day.
But any away roster make TBN to bloc you in Doha as the request of AAB .
TBN is become OFF if no call before 21h00 the previous day then in off days you not supposed to answer you phone so as no one can contact you all this group of TBN are become legally OFF.
In clear just observe your roster if your on title to be call the day before the TBN .
If you are on rest after any duty do not answer.
If you are OFF do not answer
;)
