Cpl Gst Free

Hi i have a question i have recently just hit PPL and now considering continueing onto CPL. As i have stayed on the same training as Commercial Navs etc. The question is if i keep continueing onto CPL will i be able to claim back all the GST i have paid so far to PPL. School was not 100% sure but they said i couldnt claim it from them. So wondering if i can get it from income tax. Obviously if i decide to do CPL

Pretty sure it's possible - I know someone who did it (as far as I can remember anyway). You're best off doing it through a tax agent (at the same time as your annual tax return). There is a form to fill out to be eligible for GST free, so expect more paperwork. Get that form filled out (if you haven't already) to make the ongoing costs GST free, then get the tax agent onto it.

Yeh i think i might have to go call my accountant up. I didnt think it would be a problem i know the school said they could not refund me. Im guessing as they have allready put it through there books etc
