Brookfield is advertising for CDG base on A330 Air China.

I thought they were keen on LHR or MAD..........

Can anyone confirm ??

Air China is playing with it's expat community.
Blackmail, threats, passport confiscation, poor rostering, careful if you wanna join..... and time to find another job if you're there....
European pilots all complain, aussies and canadians are safe for now, but for how long ?
good luck all

Blackmail, threats, passport confiscation, poor rostering

WELCOME TO AIR CHINA.

Air China is only for desperate souls, those of us with good jobs, don't bother. Just let them get real desperate, and start to realize what sort of idiots they are for treating expatriates in this manner.
For those who are in dire need to put food on the table, why bother asking? You don't have a choice anyway, just go ahead and jump and accept the abuse.

lies, lies,

i have yet, after all this time, to see an actual current ACC captain on this forum complaining.

me wonders why they do not do this.......

are they too poor and downtrodden to reply to the drivel from ppruners?

or (most likely) are they too content with their lifestyle (albeit not perfect) to bother to reply to the ridiculous rants here on this thread from 'wannabees'?

Again , most of the brokers are advertising for bases that are full.

LHR base will be cancelled by october this year
CDG base will never exist
FRA base is a nightmare and flight patterns are illegal
DUS opened but already full
MXP base will start soon but ill face the same as MUC, seasonal
SYD is advertised but is full. If they put more pilots there, they will have to fly W illegal patterns as the european pilots do
MEL and YVR still opened

Now the money:
Exchange rates EURUSD or AUDUSD are through the roof, then pilots loose 20% salary at home.
Bonus scheme is an insult, as overtime is

Rosters:

Getting worse everymonth
Requests not granted
Illegal rests implemented
Domestic flights
Long patterns away from home, jetlagged.

Flying:

Recently, an A320 hardly made it out of the trees after a non precision approach, thus now special training for all, chinese and expats
Flying skills unreliable
Overall professional level is low and degrading along with motivation
Situation awareness is non existent, with a few exceptions

Still wanna join ?? , then you have been warned

Now, keep discovering !!!! Many other contracts around, not to have to suffer this BS. THY, HKG, EK, QR
Nothing new , same lies after all.

Clondnine - no need to post when Chandler gets it right every time.

See Fragrant Harbour for more info from AirChina pilots

Hi Chandler Bing, where did you get information? From agencies or Air China?

The accuracy of Chandlers posts suggests its from CA itself. The story from the agencies is all rosy of course.

LHR base closing early 2012

Pilot exodus is just starting, with 1 european and 1 australian captain going back home, fed up with Air China ways i e:

poor rostering
domestic flights
exchange rate
basing problems

A few others are undergoing interviews as I write this post.
Air China keeps its psychorigid attitude but fortunately, a few better contracts are showing up.
Bye Bye CA, the sooner the better

What do you mean by poor rostering?
