Multi Role Fighter - I thought a fighter only had one role. Whether it operates off a ship or land doesn't change it's role.

Maturity of the J-10 family and China's Flanker copy would explain Japan's long interest in F22 or possible Typhoon inclusion to JSDF's line up.

They're based on old Isuzu and Nissan designs, I understand the Chinese have bought a number of old dies. Remember we were all very disparaging of Japanese vehicles not so many years ago.
