can anyone please find me legal reference under CASA rule that pilots need to be type endorsed to operate Metro 23 Fairchild 227

I looked at CAO 40 but looking more like actual law requirement states
"All the multi turbine needs to be type endorsed to operate it"
something like that.

CAR 5.106? You can't fly any aircraft unless you're endorsed on it.

If you can't find the reference about being endorsed on a metro it makes me wonder whether you should be operating that class of aeroplane?
As tmpffisch says CAR 5.106 states you can't fly it unless you're endorsed on it and CAO 40.1.0 Appendix 1A Part 3 details the Metro as a specific class endorsement.
