It would seem that ATC chicks back then wore a lot of makeup.
Sad to watch. Another notch in Fat Man's gun.
Drove past the old Hazo's main airfield a month or two ago - the runway now has a wire fence running down the length of it and the whole field is so cluttered with used farm machinery it now looks like Steptoe and Son's back yard.
I'm told that Cudal today is dying. It doesn't even rate a convenience store, while the pub is hardly surviving.

Great stuff, lots of history when you look at in detail.
Probably more about 1991-2 era, with the introduction of the Saab 340.
Intersting conversation at a Christmas BBQ with a guy who worked for a major finance company for a number years, and he talked about dealing with the Hazelton family and financing them into various aircraft including the SAAB's before he retired. He said they were always a pleasure to do business with, no ego's, just wanted the best for the company, staff and customers.
