If this is the first Vickers aircraft ever built you would think there would have been interest in recovering it earlier

Amazing! It should be recovered and preserved as part of the history of early Antarctic exploration. What a find after all these years... :ok:

After being crunched up by moving ice over 96 years, lying in salt water and presumably constructed from fairly flimsy materials I doubt there is much left to save.:ouch:

Bear in mind that the salinity is quite low, hence the general sea temperature is about -2C: reasonable conditions for preservation ;)

I think most of that will polish out, tinny. :}

... find the construction plate, and re-build ... er .... restore the rest around it, as per most WWII restorations :ok:
