Just be on your best behavior at the roadshow. It is well known that if you are not dressed properly, utter a swear word or ask a question which they deem offensive that they will throw you in jail on arrival in Doha. No questions asked.

One important advice:

Do not forget to wear your hat and jacket at all time. Otherwise, they will fire you even before they hire you.

And if during the interview they give you a glass of Evian water:}...just say :NO! :ouch:

You guys are really trying to scare people from coming here. It's not any different at any of the other Gulf airlines. Each has it's + and - 's. And those that warn the loudest would not be happy ANYWHERE !

I'm a strong believer in where there is smoke there's fire:}

"I should add - this company spends most of its money on aircraft, the new airport and adverstising. Part of whats left over gets spent on people, the cheapest people they can find. Evidence of that policy everywhere throughout the company, human resources, housing, the tech building, cabin crew, the airport. Cheaply dressed, cheaply educated, cheaply skilled and cheaply motivated, survivors."

Not to mention the "cheap" whiners on this board.

"Nothing "cheap" about the truth."

"Cheap" was your term, not mine.

I see opinions masquerading as facts.

Your "cheap" accusations insult your co-workers as well as degrade your own qualifications and skills.

Do you honestly believe that by running the airline you work for into the ground that enough people will refuse to join thereby forcing the airline to grant you the position you so richly "deserve"?

I did not start this thread in order for it to eventually turn into a 'what really goes on in Qatar Airways' sort of thread.

We have many other threads to read where we can read opinions of those who currently work for the airline.

Please may I request that we stick to the topic of the 'Qatar roadshow?'

At the end of the day, there is alot of info available on QR, and if anyone joins the airline, then all we can say is that they were warned.

so whats the catch?? no laban and evian??

Cheers Chaps!

Big Neon Glitter - what you say seemingly applies to all Middle East airlines (bar none)!

BNG wrote,

"I made a mistake coming here, mostly for the facts I've posted above. Something I'll rectify next year."

Looking forward to your departure old man!:ok:

For those of you who want to come here, looking forward to your arrival!!:D

Captain Oryx,

Seeing as your career at QR is on a positive note, would you by any chance have any information about the QR roadshow in the UK??

Cheers!

There will be a roadshow however due to a lack of funding and declining profits, the roadshow is being scaled back to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia

EY763er,

Sorry, no info. Imagine the format will be similar to other Roadshows.

BNG,

Back at ya!!! Best Regards for the future!!:ok:

BNG, chasing people away isnt gonna change our conditions. What you say is not far from the truth due to the fact that 80 percent of ground staff is Indian who have no choice but to back stab in order to survive.
As far as Captian Orxy he is the devils advocate. Always a pro QR OPINION with out looking at the big picture. For sure he is in management or at least a instructor.
