I just got an email from the CAA as part of their subscription process it refers to an emergenecy AD for A109 A, Aii, C and K2.

The link in the email didn't work, on looking it up the AD it refers to can be found at EASA Airworthiness Directives Publishing Tool (http://ad.easa.europa.eu/ad/2009-0274-E)

It was published yesterday but is effective on Monday and requires compliance within 5 flight hours.

It an inspection of the bolts that retain the the rotating scissor installation due to poor information in the manual, its in the same place as the problem experienced years ago on the powers but for a different reason.

You can easily find more info on the agusta website

AgustaWestland (http://www.agustawestland.com/technical-bullettins)

its 109-131

seems a very schort timetable to comply with

Thanks for the link, Now I've read it I've reworded my first post above for clarity.

I suppose the short compliance isn't too bad as it only requires a visual inspection to confirm the presence of some parts, if they are found not compliant then the next part of the AD has a longer timeframe attached to it.

Cant be that serious, if they are stating "If fitted incorrectly, carry out part II within 25 hrs" surely this should be, if found fitted incorrectly carry out Part II immediately !!
