Good old WWW made a couple of promises a year ago that I'd like to remind him of as there was a bet involved on the 10th of Dec 08 about one of them (http://www.pprune.org/professional-pilot-training-includes-ground-studies/335548-growing-evidence-upturn-upon-us-58.html#post4519151):
I promise Wannabes on pain of eating my Kangaroo skin hat with salt and pepper that in 2009 several significant EU airlines will go bust. By several I mean >10 and by significant I mean having more than >30 jets.
The bet was WWW's hat vs a £100 donation to the PPRuNe fund. Whilst I have every sympathy with those that have lost their jobs in the last year I don't think WWW's total has been reached so I invite him to start tenderising his hat ready to do the deed.
