I use an ATD to teach instrument flying and have Microsoft Flight Sim X.
There is an airplane in the list that is a C172 with G1000 and sometimes the student wants to learn on this type.
I am having trouble with the GPS approach set up. I can load the destination and the approach, but cannot get other than VECTORS, which is not what I want. When the flight plan is loaded it starts at the FAF, not an IAF. I cannot highlight the fix to go direct to, and when I load the IAF or FAF as Direct to, it drops the approach. I cannot get the CURSOR function to work, which is what I would use in the real airplane.
Is there a gamer or two here who could help me with this please?
