ASR at EK

Has anyone heard about the deputy chief pilot Boeing mucking up a departure from JFK? The augementing crew told a gathering recently that after AB screwed the SID royally EK flight ops department covered up the ASR and buried it never to be heard from again.
The captain has tried to contact flt ops and check on the progress of the ASR but was told in no uncertain terms to leave it alone. If only all the line pilots could have this amount of clout.
So does anyone have the details about the incident and how flt ops is covering up this event? We could contact AB but we will probably get a final written warning or something along those lines that the bullies are famous for.

But once had the pleasure of AB on the f/deck on a JFK departure, insisting we file a ASR as we had exceeded 250<10k. Min clean was about 260kts, very heavy, obviously a quality habibi, not. Heard he has failed command stuff as well.

250 knots below 10000 feet in the US? Maybe he should read the FAR's again.

This lot of thinking might explain the 90 min command interivews that he gives. This also might explain why he is not welcome back in the states to work anymore. I just hope he gets his.
I would like to hear about what actually happen though. It would be good ammunation for the FOs on interviews. They could ask what is Emirates' policy on 250kts below 10,000ft or how management pilots fly a departure and if anything goes wrong how can we go about covering our tracks so no one hears about it.

Hope he was removed from roster as he has done to the incorrect crew a few times in the recent past.

Can I ask why the Captain let him continue to fly if he was in error?

The CP incident on the 380, would have resulted in a 'line pilot's' firing. No question about that.

Oh yes, have to mention BUSH now, to get WhiteKnight's panties in an uproar, haha. CP 380 would make a good Bush minion, is that good enough WhiteK?

Whats up with the Chief Pilot 380 incident? Any ASR filed? Or all just rumours!

I understand that it involved a very unstable approach that was continued in contravention of SOPs to an eventual go-around. Alpha-floor was also rumored have been reached (a significant safety issue if true).

Without the original ASR only those involved in the cover up (senior managers) and the crew know the full facts.

The most dangerous thing in the cockpit is usually a management pilot. They should be required to fly with a training Captain given how infrequently they fly.

If only the cockpit was big enough to accommodate the heads of two management types we could have First Officer Bell-end and EGT flying together.

In relation to the safety policy, it went out the window years ago, the events outlined here just shows how safety related issues have just become a disciplinary tool, and are taken almost as seriously as leaving your hat behind, or sitting in a first class seat.

Just flew with a Capt.'s who's FO flew with the B assitant (sorry) CP and they landed without a clearance, not sure where it was. Didn't read that one in the weekly report!

FYI,

EGT and AB did fly a sector together, they were the operating crew for the first flight to LAX.

How scary is that?

Pairing 2 management pilots together is just plain terrible judgement.

These two are best avoided at any cost.

They fly a LOT of trips together...just look it up.

Mostly FRA....at least they did earlier this year.
