Anyone catch the airfield vehicle racing bit on Top gear this week?

If so was it Wyton they used? It seemed remarkably familiar to me but i couldnt decide just where it was :rolleyes:

And wasn't Top Gear utter crap this week.......

The current series has been pretty weak, but Sunday's show was dismal.

I agree Beagle, I think this season is weak. The whole Clio report from NI was vintage TG and Clarkson though. The barrel role was class. They must be saving money for a big trip later in the series. South America?

I thought the airfield race was a bit like BZZ on a busy Monday morning....quite realistic (except RAF Noddys are yellow and slower).

Yes, there were certainly about as many aircraft movements.......

Ahhh, Colerne. Received my promotion to L/Cpl there, while on a job with the Royal Engineers, back in 1977.

Yes, Colerne - did my basic trainig there and also my first parachute jump back in 1990! (Junior Leaders RCT/RAOC)

How did the MoD get away with that under H&S?? I would have thought all that carnage over the taxiways etc could be classed as hazadous waste etc and the airfield is still used by the UAS? Must have been a costly clear-up job!!

quick question; is Colerne the same place as Azimghur training camp? went there a few years ago for AEF, but cant remember what the pilot said :}
