2-seat Spitfire TR9 reportedly only 1 of 5 in the World, damaged on landing at Ardmore, New Zealand, today.

Sad.

Almost anything is repairable as long as you have the original data plate.

For example, this (http://www.flickr.com/photos/42456902@N00/383009515/) was repairable and the aircraft is flying again.

Oops, if I recall correctly this airframe was just back in the air after a repair following a landing incident. Yep, just checked, second landing incident within one year.

Correct, very little info. in local Press, suggestion of downwind landing - maybe.

Yes, repairable, all it takes is money!

Crash?..........looks like a runway over-run and moderate nose over to me.
