Just had a look through the updated 2009 YPJT VFG - still multiple references to "SHIPYARD" including whole pages devoted to entry & exit procedures from same.

I thought they'd changed the name to BOATYARD (anyone know why?)

Or have they reverted back?

Or do CASA need a new proof reader...

It's BOATyard now not shipyard. The change was done this year, VIA Notam. I think the current VTC still has it as SHIPyard.

It hasn't changed back and isn't likely too.

"It's BOATyard now not shipyard."

Any reason why?

More boats than ships.

It was a request for change due to the occasional misunderstanding of shipyard and six south reports. Calling it boatyard removes any confusion.

That ain't a ship. That's a boat!

I bet that is why it was changed. Those navy types are everywhere.... :}

I think the China Southern guys were having a little trouble with distinguishing "Shipyards" and "Six South"

Through my headset they always called it ****YARD - perhaps a new open air sewerage treatment plant? :}

I believe the radio call guides are wrong in the new one as well.
