1998 Cessna 182 (http://www.buyplanesforsale.com/aircraft/details/1998-cessna-182/656/)

or a C182 that will cruise at 173 Kts?

I could be wrong, but im pretty sure they have the date wrong. If you look at the picture, you can see that it is a 182RG, which im sure were not manufactured in 1998... perhaps it should read 1988?

From a 'Cessna' site.......

"21,864 (including 169 R182s by Reims) built through to 1985. 182S deliveries began April 1997. 332 built by Sept 30 1998."
The site does not differentiate the 'RG' models......

Cheers:ok::ok:

1982 CESSNA TURBO R182RG SKYLANE Piston Single Aircraft For Sale At Controller.com (http://www.controller.com/listingsdetail/aircraft-for-sale/CESSNA-TURBO-R182RG-SKYLANE/1982-CESSNA-TURBO-R182RG-SKYLANE/1146243.htm)

These two aircraft seem to possess the same serial number. Compare total times and year built.

205 hours total time with prop and engine O/H 17 hours ago??

Is it located at Sri Lanka???

Log books will tell the story...does it have any?

Bargain!!:E

In this ad the overhaul hours seem to align as does the S/N.

Looking at the links from the Beech premier it looks like a group of kids that posted it. I think if you sent money you may see niether a plane or your money again.

Ultralights, the link you posted shows pictures of a completely different aircraft than what is on sale.
Notice the 2 bladed prop instead of 3 bladed as per specification?
The year is wrong,
The rego is wrong,
On the interior, notice the lack of the blue (black in this case) knob (on the 1998 model)?
Also different paint job.
Must i continue?:ugh:
 scammers.

perhaps we should organise a group flight to "Bandaranaike International Colombo Airport (CMB, VCBI) (http://www.buyplanesforsale.com/asia/sri-lanka/bandaranaike-international-colombo-airport-cmb-vcbi/35056/) Sri Lanka (http://www.buyplanesforsale.com/asia/sri-lanka/210/)" and clean out the airport of all its new aircraft!

If you click on "Contact seller" in that ad on the "Buy Planes" website, you get "Hello Nipuna Rangika" at the commencement of the reply.
It appears highly likely that Nipuna Rangika is the classic 14 yr old Sri Lankan schoolkid scammer, and you can get a pic of him at his computer, right here .. :D .. hi5 - Nipuna Rangika (http://www.hi5.com/friend/p300910143--Rangika+Nipuna--html)

Of course, someone MAY have stolen his ID, and used it to place the ad ..

And of course, you can always run a quick check on the aircraft registration ....

N4708S, 1979 Cessna R182 (http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/N4708S.html)

Finally .. Google is also good for pulling up the site where the aircraft is REALLY for sale, just by inputting the registration number and scrolling through a range of hits .. :D
