Apologies if this has been flagged previously, but I just found this website, via another site, and it has plenty of old newsreel clips, mainly black and white from the Pathe days.

I was amazed, when looking at the clip featuring HM the Queen, presenting the new standard to 43(F) Sqn in 1957, how little the base has changed !

Just type your curiosity into the search box, and it's off to a byegone era...

No apologies necessary PP, for even those who know of it must admit to it being a gem of a site! This clip of the 50th Anniversary of the RAF strangely omits mention of Tower Bridge under flights, but does feature the retaking by the RAF Regiment of a breakaway RAF Colerne. Another scandal that can at last be fearlessly exposed!

Did anybody else do the voiceovers besides Bob Danvers-Walker? His breezy style was the voice of British Pathe News! When I was watching these clips at the cinema in the 60s and 70s, my Mum told me that he'd been the voiceover back in the war years, or even before!
