I haven't been able to get PPRUNE for a few days, yesterday the news reported QANTAS booking system down, today (Tue 17/11/09) the QANTAS OPINION forum was down under the media Info link. And tonight when I check the PPRUNE site I find it is back up and the QANTAS site has reverted to a basic stand-in page.
Am I drawing a long bow here?:8

No, of course not. Due to the generosity and good will of Qantas, our PPRuNe web site is hosted in Qantas computer servers. They also donate the wages of our vast army of technical, support and admin staff.
We sent Qantas a stern warning that if ever they bring our site down again, we'll move to the British Airways servers, or maybe Aeroflot! :=
There is another thread in Dunnunda Forum where I have given what information we have on our site problems at the weekend.
