hy guys maybe we spoke too much about this topic but i just wanna be sure if i can do that or i can't as i can't find this topic here.
I did the JAA Atp theory and the and PPL/IR here in Italy and want now to finish the CPL and the MEP course in the USA one of the JAA FTO in FL as is cheaper and timeless.
But i want understand if I can or If I must do the CPL in the same country as I have done the ATPL theory???

I don't know where i found it but i found this reply from aerodynamic school:

You must do the CPL in the same country as you have done the ATPL theory

Is that correct??.. so means i have to do the CPL here in Italy?
Thanks for anyone could give me more explanation about this.

I may be wrong but I believe it must be issued from the same governing body. As you did JAA ATPL theory as long as you do the JAA CPL in the USA it shouldn't matter. If you ask some schools, in the States, whether they accept or recognise your ATPL qualifications it should help as you need these prior to commencing a CPL course. Hope you get it sorted.

In theory, you must do all your licence training in the same country, but this may be varied with permission.

This is expected to change under EASA when you will be able to cherry pick. Maybe this will accelerate now that the European Constitution, sorry, Lisbon Treaty, has been signed
