Hi all,

Does anyone have any contacts or a list of locations where AVGAS is available in Russia. Someone's doing a charity flight through there and needs to know where he can get juice!

Cheers,

OB

The situation with avgas in Russia is pretty dire. The only grade being produced in Russia is B91/115 (http://www.lycoming.textron.com/support/publications/service-instructions/pdfs/SI1070N.pdf), containing about 4 times as much lead as 100LL. Some owners and clubs arrange for import of Neste 100LL from Finland, but I haven't heard of airports carrying it on a centralised basis.
Your best bet is to ensure all the aircraft in question are STC'd for mogas, and even then, be extremely careful and buy only from outfits used by other aircraft owners. In the northwestern part of the country, mogas from the Kirishi refinery has a good reputation.
