If any UK personnel have died because an Iraqi checkpoint was using one of these, it would be nice if the people running ATSC (UK) and/or Gloabl Technical Ltd could be identified at Company House... :suspect:

The BBC reports that Jim McCormick of ATSC has been arrested for fraud. Open and shut case, it would seem, given that the "detector cards" contain nothing but a retail security tag.

Why did anyone buy it? Stupidity? Or perhaps "commissions" were paid?
They should be sentenced to clear mines and IED's the Soviet penal battalion way, i.e. on foot, by walking over the top of them a decent distance in front of the troops.:*
