Hi there,

It's a while since I did my ATPL's and I'm looking into DL courses for someone. Has anyone got any suggestions for the best one out there in terms of good quality manuals and good online support?

Thanks

I can't recommend Bristol GS highly enough. Outstanding training course, manuals and support. Their instructors and support staff are second to none in my experience. I've never heard a bad word about them, and the resource of their QB is invaluable. Drop them a line, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to discuss your requirements.

always tough asking about what groundschool to use, as people will only use one!

points to bear in mind -

1 - cost, a pass in the exams is a pass in the exams, save a grand or more and put towards flying.
2 - how is the course arranged, is it in 2 modules or 3? If it is 2 modules can you get the 2 weeks off work in a row followed by another week off to sit exams (3 weeks leave in a row is hard at a lot of companies)
3 - distance from home, it is nice to be able to pop to it if you have any questions, even nicer to save yourself ££ for B&B during brush up, which can add another 2-300 quid per week of brush up.

I went with CATS, saved a few quid, got a supplementary second hand set of oxford notes, and use the qbank. Worked so far got a 96% average whilst working 2 jobs 7 days a week :ok:

I did my ATPL`s at Cats some three years ago, averaged 94% over the 14 exams and finished in 5 months, apparently now their notes are even better and question bank much improved, all for £995? Give them a try.

CATS Global Landing Page (http://www.cranfieldaviation.com/)

Worked for me.. the 3 module system and complete flexibility was just what I needed while working full time.
