View Full Version : 747 with 'pod' at Stansted. Any ideas?

I was taxying in a Stansted a few nights ago and caught an extremely brief glimpse of a 747 parked up with what appeared to be some sort of fairly large pod on the top of the fuselage roughly at the aft end of the upper deck hump. As I say, I only saw it by night from a distance for about 2 seconds, but it appeared to have a non-military livery.

So does anyone know anything about this. Could it be a VIP transport with some sort of ECM pod? Any photos or information?

Cheers.

That's the one. Thank you very much. Presumably the extra hump is a suitably chilled wine cellar.:ok:
