I hear recently that EY has just employed an ex QF (maybe an old "Friend" of JHs from Ansett..??) girl and 7 associates who have new positions as, get this, Head of Emissions, Head of Environment... And given that they have the title "Head" I bet they have better salaries and staff travel than those real workers out there...
This after the upper management got a +15% pay rise... all this during this tough economic period or downturn.... Nice for some..... Another slap in the face of the loyal and long term staff....
Meanwhile those at the coal-face have had nothing for at least 3 years.... no Salary increase with inflation, No allowance increase in line with inflation, etc, etc....
Except those that look after themselves in Mngt positions they get the good $$ by not looking after the needs of their staff, not protecting the degradation of conditions (leave, staff travel) that is happening, not managing period! Although RH's contract is apparently up in 6 mths.... So who will replace him...? What does he do..? Anyone left in Gulf Air...?
Then there's the C/Crew side.... ruled by fear... silly restrictions on visitors and hours, unless you have a fake EY ID from BKK (yes, it's true), bribe the security guards (yup, this too...), are gay and live with your partner ...(hmmm?), from Nth Africa or speak arabic.... rules for some and not for others....
So while the fat cats get fatter and then look at leaving, the lean get leaner... People have already noticed that JH and JR are walking around differently lately, looking as if their tenure is up.... but they have probably made more here than most of us will ever see.... BA is one rumor that is being talked about.... for one.. (Shame to maybe have to possibly leave an apparent girlfriend...)
Where are you Emarities....? Can't you see what these people are doing to YOUR National Airline....?
Do management not realize or care that they are looked upon as scum on the sole of a shoe.... Trying to demand respect (when they play in night clubs... )
Respect is gained by 5 ways... maybe you meet the criteria of 1... not the best one...
They (EY) slip up .... even forgot to give F1 Tickets to the GCAA.... I bet they weren't too happy when it came to approving todays "fly by".....
When will this airline stand up and take notice that it's reputation is not what it thinks it is....
It has the opportunity to do well, but with the current management - well your guess is as good as the camel in the desert next to the HQ....
