On way back from airport this morning I was asked by the car driver if I had heard anything about a crash on Garhoud bridge involving a cabin crew minibus and a car. He diverted well away from the area going via Business Bay bridge. Has anyone else heard about this, I hope this is a false rumour?

Heard on the radio this morning that there had been a bad smash on the SZR involving a 'Bus' and a car near the Grand Hyatt.

Hope its not crew involved!!:uhoh:

Can't find anything on local newspapers' websites.
Not every 'crew bus' carries aircrew. Fingers crossed.

Hope its not crew involved!!

Yes it does! Don't know more. Just saw crew bus sitting on it's side on the fence separating both sides of SZ. Hope the driver was not too tired and fell asleep...

Heard all people okay!

Keep Discovering:ok:

The cabin crew has all been interviewed by police. The following opinions were expressed by EK's diverse cabin crew compliment involved in the accident:
An Indian Purser said: It was all the fault of the hostile driving habits Pakistani driver.
A Pakistani G1 said it was the fault of the arrogant Indian driver in the preceding car.
The Lebanese FG1 noted the meddling of a Syrian crewmember distracting the driver.
The Syrian denied he was distracting the driver and was just warning him that it was the Zionist who was really at fault, if it hadn't been for them none of this would have happened.
A British G2 came to the defense of the Zionist stating it wasn't really their fault it was the Germans and besides they were here first.
A German piped up and stated clearly and precisely that they could never be blamed for such things as they designed the automobile, safety equipment, the roads, left hand drive and they carried out every calculation to the 4 decimal point.
At that point a Canadian, an Australian and a New Zealander stood up and simultaneously exclaimed that it was all the fault of the evil, capitalist, religious, arrogant imperialist Americans!
No Americans were on hand to dispute the charge and thus the Dubai Police Officer listed "Reason for Accident: Blame America!"

Was the micro manager, sitting in the jump seat, with the appraisal form, that required completion.

As a senior manager, he was not listed as a passenger.

I beleive the accident was caused by, as 7 days will confirm, was the Fly Dubai crew bus driver who diverted from his lane due to the RVR on his lane being below minimum.

All EK care about the cabin crew is that they have notes from their doctors. I can just hear the CCM's...."So what you were in an accident, get a cab to work!".
