Hola, I am an European planning vacations in Costa Rica, I heard there is a lot of GA there - do you know if it is possible to rent a small plane like Cessna 172? and how?

you need to earn a license there in Costa Rica first -so says a book I found on the internet where all facts lie.
(hey "all facts lie" can be read both ways!)

Forget about flying alone, two reasons:
1. Getting your license validated takes forever.
2. You have to know the area very well unless you want to be another statistic and nobody will rent you a plane without local knoledge.
