Can anyone help me identify an airport with the ICAO code [ in 1962 ]
of either ODAK or ODRK [ I think it was the same place ] ?

Shown in the 1962 Gatwick Airport logs as both origin/destination of some flights
operated by BUA Brits. [non-stop both directions, with one flight shown as
returning via Malta ]. The flight numbers were BR.811 and 812 - - might well
have been part of their trooping contracts, but I am not sure.

ODRK = Aden
ODAK = Alkhashaa (Yemen)

? a BUA Aden trooping flight

Well, when I was in Aden, ODRK was indeed Aden/Khormaksar airport. I have it in my mind that ODAK was (in the 1960s) the designator for the civil side at Khormaksar.

Thanks for the replies - Aden makes complete sense, so I'll work on that.

Thanks again.
