Folks,

Are the authorities sympathetic to spotters using the perimeter road just outside the western fenceline at Gatwick? Seems it might be a reasonable place to park the car and try to get some photos...right under the 8R approach...any advice appreciated!

If you park by the crash gate under the flight path of 8R ,you will get moved on by the Police or Security--you used to be able to park there and take photos etc but you have to go furher down the Lowfield Heath Rd by the Flight Tavern and park and walk back--or park in Charlwood village and walk from the other way.
In the Ifield Road(next road up) there are a few spaces on the verges at the side of the road--we sat there a month ago for a couple of hours and no one bothers you there at all!
