I flew out of Tarbes-Lourdes airport yesterday in the South of France. It was a glorious sunny day and one could not help notice the fine flying machines laid up to rest at the otherside of the airfield. 2x Virgin Atlantic A340s (600s I think), 3x Iberia A340s (600s as well i think) and a few smaller aircraft... some SAS Fokers I'm thinking? .. a few pics below.

Anyone know how long the Virgin A340s have been there, will be there for? any other Virgin A/C resting elsewhere at present?

At Athens there are also 4-6 A340s, maybe 10 or more 737s, all sat there from Olympic Airways not doing anything except parked up in a corner..

The VS A340-600s are G-VGOA and G-VATL and both are for sale, they were flown there in August and July respectively.

The Iberia aircraft are new ones whose delivery has been deferred. They were originally parked at Toulouse.
