I haven't got broadband at home and want to make copys of the French AF videos in chad etc. How do I go about copying these to a disc or memory stick. These are for my own use only.

If you're using FireFox then the 'add on' 'Download helper' will enable you to download any video to disc.

I have been using You Tube Downloader. Works great! With Videora you can also import it to your ipod. :ok:

Another, quicker trick is to play said vijeo, immediately look in your temp files folder, and find the latest, big flv file, traditionally called video[1].flv.
Drag it to desktop, rename (not the flv bit) and voila you have a Flash Video copy of it...which with something like 'Super' you can convert into anything.

...and how does one work the YouTube inserter on PPRuNe?

I copy the url thingy, click the YouTube icon at top right of the reply box, paste the url thingy and.......nothing! Just a big white box. What am I doing wrong???

See the "Reinventing the wheel" thread on Military Aircrew for a good example of my incompetence.
