Hey folks,
Realise things can get busy on a completely random basis but MAN early this this AM was seriously stacked up ( I usually have a quick check with the first coffee of the day). Any reason or just a bad day at the office?

There was an accident involving a couple of tug's which closed Delta ( I think ) nothing too serious but it was closed for about 40 minutes.
Plus i saw a couple of aircraft abort there landings around the same time.

Birdstrike.
Which necessitates a runway inspection (for possible remains which could endanger other aircraft if ingested).
pdq -as soon as possible - (pretty d*** quick)
thus causing 2 aircraft to carry out "go-arounds" - missed approaches (as the cars for the inspection were on the runway)
no problem!:ok:

Believe an OO-registered RJ may have had a birdstrike inbound to MAN on Monday evening, though not sure where this occured on the route. Caused canx of the outbound MAN-BRU this morning (after the pax started boarding!) according to a friend onboard.

Cheers for the responses folks. Was pretty sure it wasn't 'typical' movements at the time. All in a days work I guess but pretty sure they could do without it. :ok:
