I am about to do my MCC, but do airlines really want you to do it on Jet Type aircraft!? Or is it just a certificate/qualification they want to see completed regardless?

very valid point I think. A lot of people asked about the type and some reply that the type doesn't matter. In large respect, it doesn't however, like mentioned, it would help to get you comfortable in the cockpit. I did mine in a 737 and did the sim assessment in a 737NG. I knew how the plane reacts and how it flew so had the advantage that I can anticipate it's behavior. Something I would love to have with women :)
