This is addressed to the guardians of the airliners on display . Do the log books for these aircraft still exist ?, are they viewable ?, and if so where?

The reason I ask, is that I have a friend whose father signed off aircraft as fit for flight, I presume airframe rather than avionics or engine. He worked for BOAC then BEA and finally British Airways. He retired about 30 years ago and died not long after.

For reasons I wont go into, my friend would like to know a little about what his father did in relation to the aircraft in his working life. I imagine that the aircraft at Duxford that his father might have worked on would have included the Viscount, Ambassador, York, Brittania, maybe the Trident, and VC 10.

Any help would be appreciated and I intend to bring him to Duxford shortly to do some research.

Thanks in anticipation Alan

Ray Bullock, ring any bells? his son David is quite keen to find out exactly what his father did. Alan
