aviation management degrees down under

G'day all,

Firstly to introduce myself, i'm an FO with an Asian airline. Completed my ab-initio in Oz a few years ago and i'm looking to study a bit, get a couple of degrees and improve my standing in the company i work at.

I'm looking at getting myself a bachelors and masters in aviation management through CORRESPONDENCE. The problem of course lies in the fact that i cant devote 4 years of full time study in oz since i am contracted to the company i work for and i wont be able to leave. Therefore home study seems to be the best option.

I would definitely appreciate inputs, info and recommendations of Unis' in Oz (or anywhere else) providing such courses..

I'm currently studying Bachelor of Aviation on campus, it's not perfect but definately a marked improvement with regards to getting help/feedback from the tutors/lecturers than the previous uni I was at, although that was a different degree. In one of the courses I took last semester the lecturer would go onto skype to talk to the off-campus students, but thats the only time I've heard of that happening.

Have you considered pursuing a degree in a different field, perhaps business, so that you have something to fall back on if you lose your medical etc. Or maybe start a small business on the side.
