Anyone who can shed some light on the AirBaltic (BT) fleet; when still (partly) SAS-owned, the company made several statements that it would place orders for DHC8-Q400NGs, whereas today there is no info on this issue on their website. Are they still opting for the DHC8-Q400 to replace the F-50s?

Also, any info on whether their two B757-200s spend most of their time parked on the apron in RIX or if they are actually flying somewhere?

Cheers,

Yes, the 757 is doing the 13:10 LGW-RIX e.g. on Fridays, see their website. I've been on it in May. Nice flight, wide seat with lots of legroom. My connecting flight RIX-VNO actually was also a 757, the second one.
Check e.g. Transport, The Baltic Course (http://www.baltic-course.com/eng/transport/), they have announced so many new routes, I don't see why they should change the plan on the Q400s.
Or you can ask them about this, as they are on Facebook
airBaltic | Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/airBaltic) :)
These are the "eBalticStates" for you !

airBaltic is still going to buy the DHC8-Q400NGs, the first one was schedule to arrive in November, but due to delays from bombardier it's now expekted in Januari.

The 757 pilots have been logging about 90-100 hours a month, like everybody in airBaltic this summer, of course the winterschedule is going to reduce the flight hours on the 757. But for now the flights are almost full.

Hope this answers your question
