Have just been reading the new list of honours as published in the Times. I was just intrigued as to Lt Cdr Simmonites commendation. Out of sheer interest, as some bravery was commited by a Fellow Flying Matelot.
Does anyone know where they are published? or not.

The reference above gives an abbreviated version of the citation which may be sufficient for your purposes. However the full citations are published in The London Gazette, published by The Stationery Office (formerly HMSO) who have a website with contact details at www.tsoshop.co.uk (http://www.tsoshop.co.uk)

This RN site (http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/rn-live/article/pride-of-british-armed-forces-honoured/*/changeNav/6568) adds a cheerful photo if you scroll right. Most media sources quote the synopsisSimmonite’s aircraft was so severely damaged by enemy fire that under normal circumstances it should have been landed immediately. Through his exceptional airmanship and handling skills he was able to nurse the aircraft back to a friendly location and in doing so saved both the aircraft and his crew.
You can always try the MoD Press Office on 0207 218 9006/4947 or the Duty contact on 0207 218 7907 (24 hours).

Top draw, thankyou but the mod stuff only really lists the honours without explanation. Well done Wafu.
