hola amigos,

I'm about to finish my second bush season on floats in the north of QC, Canada, and willing to work in the south this winter...

I have searching on this forum , but there's little info on México...

so, how is the things going down there?
does the busy season in Mx coincide with the low season in the north i.e. freezing winter...?

the operators? I've been looking on the web, but still, not much info.
I just know little aout Aircalafia and aerosaab, any hint about them?

finally, I know this thing about hiring only locals, but, looky me, I take siesta, love senoritas n' tequila...and got a nopal <cactus> tattooed on my front...

Gracias y hasta la vista!!!

ps. any infos on any other southern country will be bienvenido!!!

ps2. most of my ftime is on C-206

Well... hmmmm, where should I start?.

Ok, here we go.

If your answer is NO or "Kinda" to any of this questions you have no chance of getting a job in Mexico:

1- Where you or your parents born in Mexico?
2- Do you speak, write and understand spanish fluently?
3- Do you have a Mexican CPL?
4- Would you fly for tacos?
5- Are you willing to travel across Mexico to find a gig?

If you passed succesfully this part, let me tell you one more thing.

Only a couple of operators in Mexico have a website like Aircalafia. Most of them don´t. That´s why you need to go down there to make the longest road trip of your life.

However, here I have some links that you might find useful:

- First Mexican aviation jobs website http://www.espacioaereo.com.mx/v3/ (http://www.espacioaereo.com.mx/v3/)

If I find something else later I will post it here compadre.

At this moment I´m in CYUL. Let me know if you come down here to buy you some tacos for the road!.

:ok: Buena suerte y cuentanos como te fué!.

P.S. En que AirTaxi vuelas en el norte?. Ando en búsqueda de horas PIC. Cualquier ayuda es bienvenida.

thanx for th info compadre,
that's exactly what i was looking for...

and for the test, I just missed one:

1. Yes, born in aguas, raised in chihuas and spoiled in mtl
2. A huevo caon!
3. Nooooo, damn it.
4. Yes, but only if it is flying over the seas, i.e. Baja, Mayaland or whatever is by the sea...
5. Of course, in fact, last year I did it, but I found this wonderful place, Holbox, and I stayed the whole winter drinking mojitos, dancing salsa and kitesurfing...

I just want to make sure that it is possible to work in mx on hot winters and get back to the north on cold summers. Yes buddy, cold summers, I was flying today on snow showers and had to piss over my plane this morning for the deicing!!!

so, if I can find a nice gig, I will get my dgct license. I'm sure it will be a pain in the ass, but I don't like flying when you climb up to 3000 and you get the tropopause temperatures...

Finally, I fly seaplanes for airsag in the north of Qc, and love it. If you want to try it, you gotta first get your float endorsement and get over 50 hours on floats for getting in to something...

this is pure PIC time...

but you can always try the famous fire patrols (exactair), paradrops, aerial photography (naudeau airservices), publicity and finally instructor...

cbrn.

ps. gracias y ya quedamos, el prox mes nos echamos unas chelas en mtl

saludos
