Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place, apologies if it isn't :)

Abit of a long shot but i was wondering if anyone knows if the IT support at Manchester Airport is contracted out to a private company?

Thanks

Depends what you mean and which IT? ...MAG? Check in? Handling? ATC? Baggage? Kiosks? Customs etc etc.

An outfit called Servicetec are strong at MAN but they don't do it all..

Thanks for the reply.

I currently am an IT Professional. Where i work i roughly look after 5,000 computers. I am talking about computers around the airpot in any area. The people who would come when they go wrong...

Do they have different people for different areas?

The Computing side is Service tech, although there have there own people to replace any broken computers.

These are the bods you need :

Service Tec : Global Managed IT Services for Airport and Airline Systems (http://www.servicetec.com/) (note the spelling)

Ultra Electronics (ultra Airports) and FS Walker Hughes, both based in the Manchester area may also be useful to you.

Best of luck.
