Over here it has emerged that a limousine costing €472 (£415) was used to ferry Mr O’Donoghue from Terminal 3 in London’s Heathrow Airport to Terminal 1 while he was minister — a journey which would have taken just minutes on the airport’s free shuttle service. It also transpires it wasn't even a tight connection.

To think that he could have had an inclusive limo from almost anywhere in the South East had he flown with Virgin.

But seriously, seems that some of these people are detached from reality.

I used to do that walk every day, T3 to T1 and back, just for lunch. Tunnels and travelators. Easy.

Excuse me but who is Mr. O'Donoghue?

He is a former Irish Arts, Sports and Tourism minister who in defending his lavish spending said he "just goes from A to B and does his job."

It is also reported here that he ran up a bill of €244.77 in the VIP lounge in LHR but seemed to prefer CDG as he managed to spend €767 in their lounge.

I've just thought of a cunning plan for a business on Dragon's Den.

For that price I would give the muppet (sorry passenger), a free trip back to T3 upon their return.

Now, what's the best way to tell my boss that he can stick his job?

tb10er, you'll never break into that 'Cartel'.

dubh12000, No old boys club. Imagine what he might have done if he got hold of the government jet ;)

Now I know why premium economy has got so expensive recently. In today's economic climate 'business class' seems to have become 'embarassment class'.
