Nice little video on this site of one of our cold war aircraft taking to the air `accidentally!`
Well held Sir.

Glad to see even The Times could get in a mention of a housing estate:)

Ummm. I'm not sure I can take this on face value.
There seems to be a definate positive rotation and all this talk about the co opening "the" throttle. So close it then!
What is being described as a taxi run is in fact a high power run to V speeds and beyond. Interesting vid though.

The SOPs on the Victor were for the non handling pilot to handle the throttles..............no idea why, maybe a hangover from the flight eng holding the "Go" levers to the fire wall in a Lanc?
I never understood why especially when doing in flight refuelling you handled the throttles yourself so why not on take off and approach:confused:.
The Vid is very interesting as it clearly shows that the flaps are at the take off setting, why would you do that for a taxi run?
That said thought it hilarious seeing the camera team nearly being blown away as the beast started to roll:D.
