Hi. What is entailed and what is the cost of converting a JAA CPL to a CASA CPL to enable work in Australia? Is it just a case of undergoing a flight test, or is extra theory and flight training required? Thanks.

you need to do the CASA air-law exam. Check this link: Welcome to Advanced Flight Theory (http://www.aft.com.au/afthome.htm)

If there is anyone who has converted a foreign CPL to CASA and has used study material for sale for the CASA air-law (CLWH) exam, please let me know - Thanks!

Gday mate!

You would probably have to go undergo a Air Law Theory test and conduct a flight test. There is information on what to do to convert your license on casa.gov.au

2 exams for the CPL (IREX and CLWH), 3 to get the ATPL (if you hold a JAA ATPL) + medical + skill test + security clearances.
Exams are computer based and sat at approved centres.
