Scone Airport Closed

Does anyone know what is going on at Scone at the moment.
AD Closed 0800 to 1700 (local) daily for the last couple of days, and up until tomorrow afternoon.

The goats started complaining.

...the council is spending $125,000 on more patches of hot mix. Still... it puts paid to the hysterical old women at the Aero Club crying "the Council are trying to close the airport! We're all rooned!" :ugh: :rolleyes:

Bitumen is expensive. Cost around $40k for 100 metres on the runway last time I asked.

Give some credit to the council, THIS is a goat track :)

XXX, if you put a couple of patches of hot mix onto that, it would look just like Scone airstrip. :ok:

Hopefully the council will put ramps onto some of the previous patches, that should smooth it out a bit.
