south african students (ATP without going throw CPL) a Q ?

hi guys I heard that u can get your atpl(frozen) after the ppl directly, and this can be done by start writing atp subjects after finshing ppl ones, and if you do this it will be just 9 subjects unlike if u will do cpl subjects frist it will be 14 ?
any idea !

Not true, in South Africa you have to write your Comm exams and then your ATPL.s. Furthermore, there is no such thing as a frozen ATPL in South Africa.

3/. Theoretical Knowledge Examination

3.1 The knowledge acquired must be sufficient for the candidate to pass
examinations in the following theoretical knowledge subjects:

(a) Aviation Meteorology;
(b) Flight Performance and Planning;
(c) Radio Aids and Communication;
(d) General Navigation;
(d) Navigation Plotting;
(e) Instruments and Electronics;
(f) Aircraft Technical and General;

3.2In the case of a student pilot following an integrated course or a private pilot, the following two exams will also have to be written:
(a) Human Performance and Limitations;
(b) Air Law and Operational Procedures.
