We have the oppotunity to fly a Senica to Varna in Bulgaria. This is an area I know little about. Can any one help with the logistics of flying in Bulgaria and in particular around this area

Don't know the answer and haven't flown in Bulgaria. However it sounds like a great flight

VFR or IFR?
VFR - get the charts and plan a VFR flight as anywhere. For much of Europe, one would use the Jepp "VFR/GPS" charts. Otherwise, one is probably going to be messing with the old US ONC/TPC charts.
IFR - it is a Eurocontrol routing exercise, basically.
