Anybody had experience of how to transit through Saudi with your car (for example to drive Bahrain to Dubai). Can't find much info on the embassy website

Thanks

My recollection is that you need a full visa to enter RSA by car, even if you intend to proceed directly to the next border (e.g. going from UAE to Qatar). That's why there are plans to build a bridge (and why RSA has, somewhat reluctantly) even aired the thought of giving up a strip of land along the coastline to enable a transit road to be operated that does not enter into RSA territory.

I've heard about one GF FO who did this travel by car last year and he's got a transit visa for KSA. If you work for GF you might find him... I don't think to many expats would dare such adventure!

Good luck!

Get a transit VISA from KSA Embassy... one day and it's done (from BAH)

Otherwise ask the Embassy concerned instead of the Internet - it's normally quicker!

Cheers,

There was a guy who drove his car from Dubai to England last year, he includes the whole visa epic/Saudi thing on his blog.
