Just saw what looked like a C182RG about 500'-1000' above Fortitude Valley at around 12.30pm today heading straight for the approach to YBBN Rwy 01 do a MASSIVE 180 deg turn around (the wings were almost 90 vertical!) and head back the other way...I then saw a VB B737 take off from Rwy 19 at the same time.
I wonder if the pilot was given a little 'warning' from ATC not to stray into the t/o path of Rwy 19. :}

I wonder whether his/her ears will stop ringing before their bum starts smarting...

C172RG, photographic flight, judging by the training of the PIC was perfectly legal and allowed...
I won't mention the registration or who was flying it.
I also saw it, they were 60° turns max.
Case Closed!

bloody hell jaba, cause I knew what was happening, passed on from one of my 'contacts' :}
Also:
MASSIVE 180 deg turn around (the wings were almost 90 vertical!)I think that'd be a pretty small (radius) turn.. technically speaking :D
