Good results from northern safety sweep

Earlier this month CASA successfully completed a safety sweep across northern Australia. A team of CASA inspectors, safety advisers and alcohol and drug testers carried out safety checks at more than 25 aerodromes over more than two weeks.

Numerous alcohol and drug tests were conducted on a range of aviation personnel. These included commercial and private pilots, maintenance personnel, cabin crew, baggage handlers, refuelers and airport staff on the airside.
Importantly, all of the tests were negative. :D

Well that proves several things;
1. We are all good boys and girls
2. The sweep this time last year was not a once off! (I bet this years was to ensure the last one looked legit:E)
3. The drug and alcohol teesting is not necessary and a large waste of resources. but you never know do you :hmm:

Anyone care to add to the list?

ALL OF US FROM OUR BUSSINESS ( 11 OF US ) WERE TESTED A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. MOST OF US ENJOY A BEER FROM TIME TO TIME, BUT AS FAR AS I KNOW, NOTHING STRONGER, AND ALL TESTS WERE NEGATIVE. SEEMS LIKE A WAIST OF TIME TO ME:ok:
