As a long retired RAF eng off, I was a bit surprised to see a couple of F15s flying low over Windermere today (Wednesday 15 July). No complaints - pleased to see them - but I thought the Americans didn't do low level. That not so these days?

And were very close to the Open at Turnberry this lunchtime (quote by the commentator "as the jets roar overhead" followed by some good tracking by the cameraman of F15 in plan form). Not putting Tom Watson off his stroke as he is currently 5 under ....

An F-15 came tearing down the A66 today west to east whilst i was in a farm shop, scaring all the kids half to death.

Brilliant.

ps the kids looked at each other as it dissapeared and laughed their heads off:ok:

I tore down the A66 in my Audi a while back, I scared my wife half to death but the kids loved it.
