A helicopter has crash landed on the runway of Mid Wales Airport near Welshpool, Powys.
Firefighters say they had to release the male pilot from the single seater aircraft and he was treated by paramedics at the scene.

The Mid and West Wales Fire Service said it was called to the airport at 1145 BST.

It said the helicopter did not catch fire and it does not believe the pilot needed hospital treatment.

Heard on the radio a few days back there was a heli crash in welshpool (North Wales UK) but have not seen or heard anything further.
I know an air ambulance operates out of there ( a bolkow) but also imagine it could have been a robbie trainer. Anyone heard any more detail? I understand pilot was ok.
